Getting Pretty

My daughters Kiera & Makenna, first day of school 2014
I love watching my daughters grow up.... they both have such individual and unique personalities, tastes and preferences.  Just like my girls, each and every one of us has our own distinctive brand of beautiful. You don't have to wear makeup and wear ballerina skirts to be a gorgeous woman.  But you if those things help you feel more attractive and confident, then by all means grab your lipstick and tulle! Whether in jeans and a flannel or satin and lace, find what you like be your sassy self!!!

I look at clothing, hair and makeup in much the same way I approach Making a Home: it's all about developing your own style that uniquely represents who you are; what makes you comfortable, what makes you feel like a million bucks; what gives you that extra boost to your spirits that all of us ladies can use now and then.

I'll  share the best tips and tricks, the most flattering fashions, and the occasional reflections about body image, confidence, and the pressures of being a woman in this crazy, appearance-obsessed world that we live in.

May the entries inspire you to feel fabulous - no matter your age, size, or conformance to society's standards of beauty!
